Dr. Marc Rosen and members of the Arizona delegation to the National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference met with Arizona Congressman Jeff Flake in Washington, D.C. Dr. Rosen is president of the Arizona Orthopaedic Society and serves on the Board of Councilors of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. When asked as to the message the doctors would deliver in the halls of congress Dr. Rosen stated, "Healthcare for every American should be our nation's highest priority. The flawed Medicare formula has placed the elderly, those most in need, in danger of losing access to medical care. The formula by which Medicare fees are derived hasn't been overhauled since the Lyndon Johnson administration and cannot address the complexities and sophistication of 21st century medicine," in Dr. Rosen's opinion.
